Abstract
As-Built models play an important role in Digital Twin creation. Process begins with the generation of Point cloud data using LIDAR technology followed by BIM model generation. Further these Models are enriched with Asset information ; and spaces are defined based on the facility requirements. The Digital Twin combines the Geometrical and non Geometrical Information generated from BIM models ; and dynamic information generated from BMS, IOT systems to utilize it for Asset management, Maintenance management, Energy management and various other use cases in CAFM solutions. Digital twin also plays an important role in predictive analytics, indoor condition monitoring, performance optimization resulting in sustainability, better indoor conditions, and uninterrupted working environments for a smoother property maintenance process.
