FP1 The PM Footprints Program has completed 6 years.

The program was launched in 2006 by the PMI Bangalore India Chapter to provide a platform for Project Management practitioners to Share, Learn and Network. Six years and 195 sessions later, the program is attended by members and non-members with the same enthusiasm as the first program. More than 800 unique participants attended the PM Footprints program in the last year. The topics presented in the program cut across industries, technologies and geographies.
The Chapter has now extended the Footprints coverage to Mysore and also introduced PM Footprints Card for promoting loyalty to the program.To commemorate the completion of 6 years, the PM Footprints 6th Anniversary Celebration event was held on December 1, 2012 from 4:30pm to 8:00pm. Over 150 delegates and invitees attended the program in a packed hall in The Pride Hotel, Richmond Road. The function was kicked off by Mr. M Hiremath, VP – Programs and EC Member in charge. This was followed by inaugural speech by Mr. B G Jayaram, Chapter President.
The Event included two keynote speeches.The first Keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Project Director, BIAL Project, L&T Constructions, Bangalore. He spoke on the topic of “Project Management in Present Scenario and its relevance to EPC Projects”. L&T Constructions is presently undertaking Terminal 1 Expansion in Bangalore International Airport. Apart from the BIAL project he also brought the example of Delhi Terminal 3 project (also managed by Mr. Sanjeev Gupta) to explain the complexities of handling such large projects ,handling over 80 vendors from multiple countries and to stress the contribution of Project Management to the success of the project.

The Chapter also acknowledged the pivotal role played by the volunteers in organizing and managing the PM Footprints program without any break last year. Following this Mr. Murali Santhanam, Secretary & Treasurer for the Chapter announced the PM Footprints Card winners. The PM Footprints Card was awarded to participants who attended most number of sessions. This was followed by a vote of thanks by Mr. Murali. The event ended with dinner and networking.

This was followed by a keynote speech by Mr. Viswanath Seetharam, Chief Delivery Officer, CenturyLink Technologies India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Viswanath spoke on “Leadership Development from the perspective of Impact on YOUR ROI”. He explained how Leadership and Value Creation are inherently tied together in a corporate world, whether Leaders can be developed, and how, ending up by quoting examples of how he developed his own leadership skills. This was followed by the release of the PM Footprints 6th Anniversary Brochure by Mr. Jayaram, Mr. Hiremath, Mr. Sanjeev and Mr.Viswanath. The Brochure contains particulars of all the PM Footprints Sessions held during last year. All the speakers were invited to attend the function, a certificate and memento were presented to each speaker.
